The Port of Pori is the home base of Pori Offshore Wind Hub. The port has an excellent location: There is no archipelago in front of Pori and the fairways are easy to navigate.
At the same time, the City of Pori and its existing industrial infrastructure make the port even more competitive. Pori offers a unique set of advantages in the Bothnian Sea region, which makes Pori Offshore Wind Hub a natural choice for all offshore wind power operators.
The scale of the port and the investments that have already been made — such as the RoRo ramp completed for the transport of very heavy components — are best understood by visiting the site in person. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you are interested in visiting us for an introduction to Pori Offshore Wind Hub. To illustrate the upcoming investments, we have created a new animation that shows the Mäntyluoto port area’s gradual development into a large-scale offshore wind hub.
The new areas will serve the marshalling and pre-installation of offshore wind power components and the production and storage of the foundations, meeting all of the high technical requirements involved. Project plans have already been prepared and environmental impact assessments have been carried out for all of the areas. The port area can be expanded by as much as 150 hectares for use by Pori Offshore Wind Hub.
