Best offshore wind power expertise

Pori is home to the first offshore wind farm that operates in frozen sea conditions by Suomen Hyötytuuli – which means we know how to operate in the most challenging conditions. The wind farm has already attracted strong expertise around it, both in assembly and other services. Enersense uses the companies in the offshore wind hub’s steering group to build technically demanding offshore wind turbine bases and to provide maintenance and remote monitoring services for the wind turbines.

Green energy hub

The Pori region produces 40 per cent of Finland’s electricity. We have a long tradition of low-emission energy production, from solar power to nuclear power. This energy ecosystem and the expertise accumulated within it also serve the Offshore Wind Hub and its operators. We have skilled and professional employees and high levels of training, research and development in the field.

Shared benefit for the entire Bothnian Sea

The Pori Offshore Wind Hub serves projects located within 300–400 kilometres from the site. In the northern sea areas, we cooperate with the City of Raahe and the Raahe Port. The partnership focuses, in particular, on cooperation with educational institutions and the strengthening of subcontracting chains in the offshore wind industry.
